Hello all!

Its kinda rare for me to pst here I know, but this blog is DYING (the last entry is 7th Dec last year!) and I thought it'd be nice to post a little farewell here. I'm the last of the Jan enlistees to book in, which is tomorrow actually, but if you all miss the guys there's still Shang and Just for company! =) Will miss the class antics dearly, since the guys will all be forced to act 'cool and aloof' so that we can all fit in, so hopefully when we come out 2 weeks later we can see all of you ASAP, if not we'd end up humourless people (although I think I'm somewhere there already o.O) Sigh its hard to deny the guys will all change a bit, maybe forced to grow up, give in to peer pressure and what's not, but hopefully we will all turn out fine in the end! Pray for us and meet up often to anchor us sane okay! Testoterone is all time high inside there =)

wa this place is very dead coz of A's (hopefully), haha all the best to the lit s people tmr! the A levels will end officially after tmr! ok yes, in a bid to revive this dying blog i shall talk a bit about my adventure with sooky today!

after sneaking off from some geo talk we were supposed to attend, we went to watch casino royale (which was as usual full of action, blood, girls and the usual james bond corny sweet nothings)..and then we went to cafe cartel for a (very cheapskate) spider shared between the both of us. so there was some problem with our order and sooky kept asking this waiter if our order was taken, and WAS CHATTING THE GUY UP OKAY! haha not exactly la, but started asking where he was from (from ghana apparently), whether he played soccer well (to which he replied rather bashfully that his soccer was ok and he was in the s-league in the past), which school he went to, whether he was part time or wad etc etc etc.... so that (poor) guy probably thought she was weird, and after he left the table he kept sneaking glances over to our table. AND when he finished his shift he had to come over specifically to our table to tell us that he finished (probably he was expecting sooky to ask him out for a drink or sth, haha!) and sooky insists that she was just being 'friendly'. oh well.

and rich i am not the happy feet penguin ok! (coz i can't tap dance as well)

haha ok, happy holidays everyone! have fun in all the post-A celebrations, and of course, good luck to the lit s pple for your last paper tmr!!!

and shuting thanks a lot for organising all the after-prom stayover stuff :)

Hey folks! Let's strive ahead as ONE yea? :)

It's not gonna be easy but i'm so glad to have friends like you all who make school so much more bearable.

Today Na and i were talking about how sch would have been impossible to survive without the comfort in knowing that we're all in this together, especially with more killer Fridays coming up...haha let's look at it in the positive light- we're getting more revision done in sch so we dn't have to do so much of it on our own-now isn't that just awesome?! Lol.

I'm actually looking forward to more PC sessions with Perry coz it's so so interesting! Well not the sexual parts but the whole concept of how such literary pple come up with such stuff..it's rather enlightning and leaves this lingering satisfaction :)

Anyway, i just wanna say: I love each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart!! Thanks for making school so much more colourful!

Anyway, I've got a pic below of a little yellow birdie in my balcony :) (it's real! though it kinda looks fake). Its mumy and daddy made a very lousy nest on my palm tree (the nest nearly fell off from the palm leaves.. my maid had to reinforce the nest attachment to the palm leaves with raffia..lol).

I took this picture when it was hatched and about a few days old i think.. It was learning to fly and was hopping about the balcony, flapping its wings before landing a short distance away.. This birdie almost didn't survive coz quite a few horrible black birds tried to eat it while it was still young and vulnerable (and when it's mummy was away hunting for worms). Think it was my dad who chased the crows away..

It has since flown away... young and strong... ready to see the world!

woah since nobody is recounting the events of that glorious day, i will (and later can copy and paste onto my own blog)

okay so we met at 12 plus, about half an hour later than expected, HAH I WAS EARLY OKAY AND I THOUGHT ID BE LATE heh and ate lunch at harbourfront the food court, then at the new york pizza place, where nash couldnt find cos i told him it was at basement two when actually it was on the second floor. hmmm. heh then we took cab to palawan beach and set up camp under a coconut tree and in front of a group of pubescent ah beng wannabes, after which debo nash and didi proceeded to dole out copious amounts of bananana-smelling bananana boat tanning oil, before debo realised that she cannot go to town smelling like banana, and whined for a while, deeply in the usual voice. and OH MY GOD nash. NASH. can you dun go and put so much oil, dyou know you were glistening seductively. haha and sooky wanted to read a book on the beach -_- haha

so we realized we had nothing to do, cos my v lousy tampines town council day frisbee was completely useless. then some strange woman came to take photos of us, and the ah bengs in the water screamed "cheat money one tmd 40 dollars per photo cblp" and the woman tried to smile and ignore them. then just, shang, nina and izzy arrived and the woman tried to con them as well, using the "oh the pair of ppl who seem to be in a pair can take a photo twogether too" trick. heee hee. okay so she left then didi hazmi and me went to the v far seveneleven to buy a frisbee and a ball. and didi went to change into her boardshorts so can play in the water. haha but v stupidly she only brought ONE TOP. ONE top. ONE. hehe ohh and me and hazmi were debating over whether to take off shirt or not so can swim. hehe we DO have shame, contrary to popular imagination hehehe but anyways we all got into the water and didi got her ONE TOP wet. haha so we left it to dry on the hammock. the rest of the day we swim, build sandcastle (or sand-boob, which shang made [shang, is it a tribute to our classmates or classmate who wasnt there hmmm]) or mountain w tunnel and a wall to protect it and another wall to protect the wall protecting the mountian hmmm well haha the last time i checked someone kicked the mountain and the back part tumbled, making it brokeback mountain. OKAY NOT FUNNY hey but actually i think its quite funny wat. really. OH NEVERMIND. haha whee omg v fun :DDDDDDD then victor came along haha and jumped into the foamy spray with a very very very nice and expensive looking t shirt, and i wanted to kill him by hitting him with his vvvv nice red adicolour shoes and strangle him with his vvvvv nice leather (it smells of leather even, if it's really real i am gonna steal it and emigrate and sell it on ebay and live off the money for the rest of my life in vietnam) diesel bag OHH MY GOD WHY DO I NOT GO TO HONGKONG EVERY YEAR.

okay so we went to bathe like at 5 plus 6 to 7. hehe and aysuria your mortal fear of peacocks is shared by didi too! who really looked like a single mom leh. but hot one of course (happy now?) haha we saw two peahens walking around and i made cooing mating calls to them and they started walking towards the table and dione went "ohh no" in the airy dione way. haha at least she didnt scream aysuna. lol we tried to style nash's hair, and quite nice leh. nash, i will buy you some wax for your birthday, which is over, sadly. hmm. OKAY haha omy izzy! you are v funny leh hahaha cos after she bathe then got no towel so she stood outside to drip dry. hahah so cute oh i love our class. OKAY then we took the bus to hbfront mrt and ate at the interchange the kopitiam. haha wheee omg even though i got sunburnt and was vvvvvvvv tired it is still the funnest day i ever had this year hahahahahaa yayyyyyyyy ONE THREE A IS ROCKS HAHAHA okay bye bye

heyhey! i was looking thru some ODAC photos from the other ODACians and chanced upon these....

...Our very own 13A ODAC Pulau Ubin Adventure Race Participants!! We named ourselves 'No guys' believe it or not and took part in a mixed category.. I think we laughed our way through the race.. if we even took it as a race at all.. Lol :)

These were some of those crazy moments back in J1...

There were five of us in the team: Faith, Sooky, Didi, Bobo and I! Charlene in black was our facilitator.

so manyan and i were at the somethingood busking festival as volunteer station masters for the past couple of days, selling these things to raise funds:

it's called meikonmelon banana man. they attract attention by looking freaky. notice the omenous sign behind that says "omen". wahaha. and i can't spell ominous.

anyway the air around shaw house was really bad as it stank of ciggarette smoke, so manyan went off and bought air freshener, and unfortunately became afflicted with a new disease called airfreshenerfragrance-addiction. symptoms include frequent grinning for no apparent reason, compulsive sniffing of air freshener for prolonged periods at close proximity (as shown in the diagram below) and uncontrollable urges to giggle.

in order to cure her of her addiction. the following remedy was employed: wiggling of the cheek muscles (as opposed to wiggling of the ears, which is used to rid of unwanted spiritual haunting). the method is demostrated below:

hello hello!

haha i'm sitting in a cafe in hong kong just down the street, and they serve assorted coffees (with a free flow of net time), so it looks like i've found my place. having breakfast now with a croissant (haha aysuria my dear my diet's just moved to hell) and a mocha, feeling great and thinking of you guys all the time.

hong kong is everything i remembered; equal parts urbane, materialistic, soulless paradise and sordid, polluted cesspool of crime and organised violence. already, headlines i only half understand from newspapers on the millions of newspaper stands warn about syndicates of pickpockets in sogo, who even steal tissues from your pocket in hope of finding an earring. (?!)

hope everyone is doing fine! will start shopping for gifts for the class very soon, everything's just about to go on sale which is fun fun fun. have a good time at the class bakeout =( wish i could be there. love you all, 13a!

um. im not sure how this will turn out on the blog, really. but anyway the sunset was taken in malaysia. gorgeous huh. pity my camera couldnt capture the myriad of colours on display... i was strolling along the beach there in the morning and saw an almost complete rainbow reigning over the sky. made me wonder about all the pots of gold in the world.

okay. and those m&ms are from san francisco, in the ghiradelli's square at fisherman's wharf. makes you want to salivate ya, if you like m&ms. it works for me cos it's so colourful and pretty (:

faith, u must be v bored! lol the 1st time i went down was to get pandan cake cos i was v hungry & cold & sick of stats! hihi velda! yes i DID go to tiananmen, and there is a starbucks at the GREAT WALL OF CHINA too, i was thoroughly disgusted. mao is short and the shopping is good. yes, yes, many people complimented me on my chinese, sadly, they just assume i am a foreigner and don't realize that i have had close to 13 years of chinese lessons (largely unfruitful as you probably have realized). glad you had fun at stanford/berkeley, although this ultimately reminds me of UNIVERSITY and how i am dooooomed. :(

i had a NEARDEATH EXPERIENCE IN CHINA, which i will relate to all of you when we next meet up which must be soon.

HELLO DARLINGS

i'm back yes! well to be utterly honest i've been back since monday but have not been doing anything productive ala blogging on class blog. ha yes ive been trying my best to decide among many books what to do for lit by reading them all. YANZHEN THAT WAS SO COMPLETELY UNETHICAL I AM FLABBERGASTED. and vic: well done (:

whee. aysuria in beijing! what a quirky thought. wonder if you'll be going to tiananmen square? i just saw a pic of Starbucks there, with its chinese name: 'Xing1 Ba1 Ke4'. superfluous trivia haha but it just amused me cos my friend took a photo with it looking triumphant (i think). amaze the locals with your chinese ya.

up till now ive been rambling about everything but the title ohmy the FOOD in Berkeley was absolutely yummylicious i had a grand total of 3 american meals (yay) and burmese and japanese and korean and italian and shanghai and cantonese and szechuan and get a load of this: nepalese!!! from the himalayas! my parents brought my bro up well enough to be a food aficionado and mmmmmmmm thank God for that! now i can't eat much back home cos everything loses its lustre when i think fondly of berkeley. OOH yes photos. will upload them as soon as i figure out (with excruciating slowness) how to 1. upload onto the comp 2. upload onto the blog.

ohyes i think Stanford is a beautiful place that smacks of luxurious resort holidays. and by that token it might be too sterile and pristine for 4 years of undergrad life >.< sigh i wonder how everyone else's uni search is coming along? check out princetonreview.com 's Counselor-o-matic which matches you to your preferred college after asking you things such as the location/ size of school you're more inclined towards. uh a disclaimer: it helps only if you're looking for overseas colleges, and mainly american ones.

but oh how i miss being there! the weather was quite capricious actually, it rained for the first couple of days when it wasn't supposed to. but after that it was congenial (: sun was hot and wind was cold so i could trot about in tanktops but had to carry at least a sweater/ some extra layer. ooh and if you ever go to san fran you HAVE to try hanging off one of its famed cable-cars as it valiantly navigates the steep slopes of SF. i was terrified for a bit haha cos i was at the corner-edge of the car's front and had only 2 metal poles to hang on to. yay for my bro who barricaded me! it was great fun having the wind mess up my hair and going up and down all the hills!

the blog is very active! yay, i am very happy. even happier now, because I AM FLYING OFF TO CHINA IN 3 DAYS! (cheap shopping zomg!) k, i will try to buy stuff back, but not sure if pirated dvds are possible though, since we are all nice lawabiding citizens.

swung by the blog while having dinner at home after the chamber concert (which just ended today!!! yes, yes yes yes yes), and couldn't help but think how much i miss you guys. i feel... really relieved, and somewhat liberated now that the whole chamber gauntlet's past, and though i wasn't at liberty to thank anyone in the program i owe you guys the world for all your support and for keeping me alive through all my wreck-ish times. love you all to pieces.

I HOPE GP WAS SWELL. and that more people get a1... so it won't be solely hazmi's preserve.
i'm in the little town (i think) of berkeley now, it's pretty quiet and unhappening, so i take the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART, the san francisco equivalent of our MRT) to san fran all the time. just went to alcatraz and fisherman's wharf today... had oysters and crab and clam chowder for lunch <3 ohgosh you know i was so happy and pleased because i'd finally fulfilled the dream i harboured from the time i was 9. i went to fisherman's wharf when i was 9 and 15, and twice i had to stare longingly at the seafood without actually savouring it. SO TODAY MY DREAM CAME TRUEEEEEEEE!!!! america's the stuff of dreams, really. sometimes in class i fantasize about driving along its freeways with the car windows down...
tomorrow i'll be visiting Stanford for fun research. will take lots of photos to show you guys... i took some unflattering ones in Berkeley (the uni) already. berkeley's quite pretty and quaint in its own way. by the way i was sun burnt hah from sitting in the (well what dyou know) sun for a few hours for my bro's ceremony. the irony... the lovely quote from mark twain on how 'the coldest winter i (he) spent was a summer in san francisco' really sums the weather up here.
I MISS YOU ALL! every time i look at my watch i think of what you guys are doing at that very moment (now you're probably having lunch and hoo-rahing over the end of stifling gp papers)

oh! i realised that i saved this as a draft and not as a post. bleh how very versed i am in computer things.

anyway let's go to corduroy and finch for class lunch/ dinner!! it's along bukit timah road and it's got really yummy dessert! see i was all pms-y today and i went there to have brunch, which cheered me up considerably. the main course was average (i had goulash) but the desserts were heavenly <3 had chocolate mousse and apple + rhubarb tart topped with vanilla bean ice cream!! aysuria we should go there next time we're depressed! it's better than haagen daz's bailey's!!! you know, i think i understand why my 2.4 timing increased by 3 minutes (oh, the abject horror)

ohyes and we all missed ben and jerry's free cone day!! gah it was on 25th april, last tuesday. *sighs* i think it comes by once a year... pity, really. js and i were mourning our loss as we cabbed back from thomson plaza on thursday.

oh i wanted to perm my hair today haha well thankfully i didnt >.< then i wanted to straighten it but good sense told me not to either. once i sneaked a peek at my hair after the hairdresser blew it straight and i couldn't quite bear the look of it. at this rate of caprice i am never going to have waist-length hair...

hello omg i cant believe im blogging. hey everyone must blog so this sad thing can come back to life. Aysuria! Js! People! Come on... blog! Anw js took photos in class todae so we shud haf some nice things to put up...

Anw, sch is so tiring. But fun. As in, the tiring parts is not fun. Then the fun parts is not tiring. Today especially... i din feel like going to sch but din regret going at all lah in the end. It was sooo thrilling. Nearly died! (Rich's post below). Damn tired suddenly can wake up! Good incentive to go pray!

J2 year is damn stress la... seems to me like everyday is a deadline. I know ive got a lot of stuff to do but it seems to never end then i dun feel like startin cuz it wun end... err yeah. Oh btw macroeconz roxxx.. damn interesting. Sit in front row durin mr.reeves' lect is hilarious. keep gettin used in examples... and next to didi and js who keep doing the sleeping dance in sync. Lean left. Lean right. Lean forward. Wake up. Blink. Repeat. I try rolling from side to side to stay awake... kind of helps. Bt muz understand la only got 3+ h of sleep everyday.

Ohoh civ module is damn fun. Body language... damn funny la how to tell a liar. Apparently im very good. Bt tts jez because i know the liar's signals so i dont do them, not because im a good liar. the story goes. during the free lit lesson, front row geoggers plus historians went for an early lunch at the scene of the crime, the canteen. everyone sat on a rickety table, possibly led by shuting, who intended for us to sit on that weapon of mass murder to go ahead with her murderous plan. debbo feels that something is amiss; the table is wooky and rickety, but everyone ignores her. shuting pretends to go buy a bowl of noodles, to give herself an alibi. hazmi makes some lame jokes, and bridget does not laugh. tay woo chiao enters the scene, and talks to rich. dion kopes rich's teh peng. and all the time shuting quietly eats her noodles, to keep a low profile. AND THEN SHE STRIKES. on the pretext of leaving for NTU, shuting springs her trap by lifting her foot off the other side of the murder device, causing the entire table with food on it to flip over towards rich, hazmi and just. however, her plan failed as she did not count on the extreme lightning-fast reactions of her victims, who managed to escape by mere milliseconds. according to victim hazmi hisyam, he saw his life "flash past before my (his) very eyes."

yet, the suspect managed to flee the scene on the wheels of Law. no she did not get a court sentence, but hopped into miss law's car towards NTU and escape.

i have been internet-celibate for weeks now since my computer crashed (or i think it did cos it wouldn't/ couldn't respond) but i haven't much energy to rave about how oh i can read my mail again and how i feel connected to the world again

yes sorry for that outburst over there, i was under the influence of...extreme agitation.

so about all those censorship things. very often i don't see the relevance of it in a society where all the pornographic grinding and writhing are out there for all to see on mtv. and those lyrics are out on the shelves for anyone who cares to buy an album. let's have an example. i've heard someone's little cousin of seven years old singing out loud to green day's "king for a day". he said he liked the song cos "it's grand being a king". the song is actually about cross-dressing. i doubt the little dude got that.
(nothing against green day though, i love the band)

and it is not as if homosexuality is an issue that will disappear if you turn your back and pretend it is not there. homosexuality will be there as long as there is sex in this world, and a world without sex would be a very dull place indeed. you could take a stand for or against it, but it will be there. and there will be movies potraying it. if we allow movies like alexander where the woman shows her boobs, entirely, to be m18, what the heck is wrong with showing two men kissing? this is considered tame in comparison with some of those music videos. i am sure loads of people have seen worse, what with the millions of porn sites out there for all.

and the movie got 4 freaking golden globe awards, man. do you need more proof this is love and art, not porn? give the positively controversial film a break.

and i am still bitter about sin city. it is not as simple as 'go buy the dvd'. i want the goddamn big screen experience--that's what movies are shot for.

Believe it or not, this is our FIRST class gathering. We've had lots of humanz parties but it's just never the same :) The turnout was quite good considering the number of times we changed the dates and stuff. ATE LOTS too.

Thanks so much Rich and Aunty Lilian (his mum) for preparing such a spread on top of the stuff we brought, for BBQing all the wonderful satay, sausages and things and for cleaning up after us (we're REALLY SORRY for the mess). Rich's neighbourhood is so nice! Bobo's mum was commenting that the whole HDB estate is very nice and new yet so incredibly homey.. haha the new generation of green flats. Zhao Yi even said it sorta feels like a kampung community.

yea! yesterday was the day after promos.. and another group of us (Bobo, Didi, Faith, Yan, Man, Sooky, Victor and I) went to Bugis to boogie. We couldn't catch up with the group which went for breakfast at Orchard coz we had to help Bobo carry drums from the hall to the music room. Apparently there had been complains of some noisy drumming at night?!

so anyway, we went to Bugis Junction for some wonderful breakfast in a pretty empty foodcourt and walked around. There was this whole stretch of SPCA booths at the main shopping area set up to raise funds for world animal day. Just as luck would have it, I was unlucky enough to be grabbed by one of the SPCA volunteers at..guess what...the face painting booth! Goodneess gracious me! Am I that small to be mistaken for a kiddo?! i was in RJC uniform mind u. but she was quite nice about it and painted a flower bracelet on my wrist. haha.

This is when things get EVEN better.

Yan, Man, Faith and Didi dared Sooky to get her FACE painted. (we were all in RJ full school Uniform). Well they agreed to pay her $2 each for the horrific 'stunt'. haha.. so she sportingly went for it and...WOAH...sooky became a tiger in a green skirt! (we have proof! go see Di's and bobo's phone-the process and the end result). She had a black nose too! (do tigers have black noses?) By then, it was about 11am and the shopping mall was getting crowded.. practically everyone stared at Sooky coz she looked kinda SCary?! And it was the first time Sooky clung to Victor and tried to hide behind him coz he was the biggest there.. :)

We pitied Sooky and brought her to the toilet. and you know what?! the paint refused to come off fully! her black nose had spread to the rest of the face and she looked like Eppie fresh from the coal hole. SO CUTE! haha but thanks to bobo and yan zhen, and with tons of soapy rubbing, she was as good as new in no time (well almost). :)

we caught Tim Burton's Corpse Bride..then headed to the new National Library. There was this art Exhibition and sooky was A REALLY GREAT ART GUIDE! we all learnt so much.. we should have a class art museum tour with sooky next time.. she knows so much! The national library's pretty impressive with auto escalators (the kind which only start when u step onto it), huge glass walls, drama centres, art exhibitions, high-rise courtyards overlooking the high-rise pool at inter-continental hotel and tons of books and places to read them. U can even borrow books using ur EZ-link card :) the library was rather crowded for a friday afternoon..

yupp yupp go ask didi or bobo to post their pictures of sooky the tiger online or something.. hilarious!

ok yesterday was the brilliant, wonderful, fabulous, magnificent, remarkable, marvellous, splendid (and here the writer runs out of adjectives) october the seventh which marks the end of exams.

so aysuria izzy velda jessie and the wishing-he-was-a-girl-so-he-won't-feel-like-a-pimp-js decided to go to orchard for breakfast (where jessie had 3 lovely mrs fields cookies, but no matter).

and the train arrived. it was crowded. but we all (almost all) managed to squeeze in at the last minute before the door closed.

yes the door closed, but it closed upon js who wore an expression of utter resignation on his face. he has had a rather trying day, what with the rain in the morning, the horrific econs mcq, and it was only 9.30 in the morning when he got left behind at the mrt station, and the long day stretched out before him. feeling utterly desolated (i trust?). and trying to annul the sadness and boredom, he reached automatically for his trusted and long-loved ipod. but all that was there where his ipod should be was--emptiness! with horror js recalled that he had left his ipod in school.

(insert here the horrors experienced silas when he found his gold was gone).

and then the story shall be continued by aysuria.

ok on second thoughts there isn't much of a story after this. js sadly messaged us that he would be trudging the long and winding road back to school to retrieve his ipod and that we needed not wait for him.

Sorry guys, decided on a whim to unilaterally revamp the blog template; the dark-coloured wings were getting a tad too angsty for me, and we all know that 13A is a Bright, Cheery Class! =D Umm, right.

Have saved Juyuan's original template so that we can slap it back on if anybody has violent protests towards my move.

not only do i have pixie ears, i have swollen lips too! =p bah! im not going to rollerblade again unless im fully protected in a space suit or the like. boo. one good thing is that my BIG ulcer is healing, but my tooth is apparently stuck in its state of trauma because it still hurts. ) : sigh. i guess i should just count myself lucky that my tooth didn't fall out and stop whining. : p actually i was rather amused on the 1st 2 days but subsequently, it just got plain irritating considering that i can only eat porridge or pandan cake and it takes forever before i finish my food. im now craving for all kinds of food! strange how i've never really appreciated good food and the pleasure of eating till now. i cant talk properly either and somehow, it feels deeply embarrassing whenever im buying food from the canteen or when i see acquaintances and they start talking to me. i cant pronounce my "th"s,"k"s blahblah! instead of saying "thanks", i now pronounce the word as "dangs"! urgh. and whenever i want to say "i cant talk", i end up saying "i cang gok"! thank gdness this isn't going to be a permanent speech impairment! oh pity those who wear braces! i think it's worse for them... oh and my friend insists that thick lips like shuqi's are sexy, but when they are thick because they are swollen like mine, they just make you look silly!

during PW today, we digressed(as usual) to something completely irrelevant/frivolous/borderlineridiculous.
manyan's email is pixiearz right? so I thought it was pixie-arz, and i asked her what that was supposed to mean. so apparently it's supposed to be pixie-ears, and not pixie-arz. blahblahblah, because manyan has distinctly pixie-like ears. ANYWAY. that is not the point.

the point is that junsheng said something very airheaded and therefore un-junsheng-like, which i think is worth repeating. to the whole world.

manyan: i have pixie-ears.
aysuria: oh, yeah, you do have pixie-ish ears.

So fun! Finally the chinese people get to have very much lot of fun while the non chinese taking people sit around being bored. usually its the other way round but NOT TODAY MUAHAHAHAH. OMGoodness... Mdm Ong our chinese teacher is soo officially my favourite (and i think faith and aysuria's) teacher in RJC. move over, all ye english speakers! haha.

Weel anyways Wang Laoshi decided impromptu-ly last Friday while we were at the computer labs browsing thru some sites about chinatown for our ke4 wen2 that she should bring us to chinatown itself so we could really learn about niu2 che1 shui3. we thought she was joking.. but being har crazy self she was damn serious. so we were packed into a cab (sans vleeda and vickie cos they had some mundane stuff on [muahaha]) and popped to chinatown with our fellow chinese takers from S01. woohoohoo.

It was really kinda surreal. like when we were at the hawker centre (which sells f-ing delicious stuff demmit). i mean like everywhere you see it's filled with tumbled baskets, wet floors, people in singlets and polo ralph (YES AYSURIA I KNOW THEY'RE CHEAP PIRATED COPYCAT POLO RALPH) polo-clad uncles wearing slippers and making black marks all over the floor. and like ten minutes ago we were in squeaky clean RJC. how big a change is that?? haha. but it was kinda funny. started taking pics of everything... whee. can show everyone someday larh. AND you should have seen aysuria at the hawker centre... she was like "eek so dirty how to sit" and i was like "well to sit you just place your posterior onto the stool". haha so ays you TAI TAI. hehe. so anyways my incredibly kan cheong chi teacher starts zooming off everywhere to grab munchies for her students. she plonked 50 whole bucks on the table and told us (TRANSLATION: wait one down the consumable objects arrive, use this 50 chunks come return money). she led the uncle who sold bah chor mee to our table and we thot she only bought that. then came the three plates of dumplings. fried dumplings, steamed dumplings and ngo hiang. mmm. then came the satay bee hoon. sumptious twangy bee hoon smothered in smooth creamy sweet and savoury satay sauce with chewy sotongs and crunchy peanuts. then came the famous zhu1 she3 zhou1 (pig's whatever porridge) omg... so creamy and delicious. and then came not one, but TWO whole claypots of claypot rice. sweet rice with fragrant chicken, chinese sausage, etc... argh. and the burnt rice stuck to the sides of the claypot (guo1 ba1) is so yum. yum yum yum. whee. AND BEST OF ALL IT WAS LIKE TOTALLY FREE COS OUR TR PAID FOR IT! omg. and the food was so yum. we were all so damn stuffed man.. cannot eat dinner. omg. did i mention the food was yum? and no, bridget you can't try to take chinese now. muahaha.

ANYWAYS after the yum lunch we went to the wet market. quite smelly and wet but it was really fun. saw all the live frogs and shan1 rei4 (snapping turtles) waiting to be slaughtered. too bad din see any killings tho... sigh. oh yeah and ays din like it. aw...

well after wet marketing we chionged to the yuan2 mao4 guan3. no, it's not the round hat tube, its the place where they recreated old chinatown in the form of an amazing three story shophouse exhibit. the wonders of the STB. and its a damn cool place larh!! omg. the whole damn thing was so realistic and interesting... eek. the recreated toilet was so darn cool man... and we wrote lots of cool stuff in the guestbook (ask ays or faith). man... soo darn cool. really can't describe it you gotta see it yourself. students entry costs only 4 bucks! that's like 1/7 of a dim sum dolly. whoo. AND YOU NOE WATS THE BEST PART? IT WAS COMPLETELY FREE! laoshi flashed her secret weapon, known as the credit card, and it was over in less than five seconds. muahaha.

whee i love laoshi!! ahah.

hehe. okay that was a whole lot of fun. now for some mundane stuff..

Well, I'm just posting to prevent the class blog from DYING.

But I really have to express my extreme astonishment. It appears that no one in our class has watched the greatest movie of all time i.e. THE GODFATHER. (The trilogy that is)

I absolutely cannot believe this! Has everyone except me (and maybe Faith who watched Godfather3, which was really quite terrible in comparison to the first; the only saving grace was al pacino's beauty.) been living in a hole completely devoid of entertainment?!

I must insist that all of you watch it immediately! Or as soon as humanly possible. I have DVDs if anyone wants to borrow!
